The new captor P-R-O 50 is for applications requiring RELATIVE measurement and set-point of flow rate. This means that the actual velocity of the flow or the quantitative measurement in GPM is not known and is not important. What is important is that the set-point can be set as a “percentage of” or “relative to” the full flow rate. No other flow sensor could do it this simply or effectively.

weber Sensors Inc. announces the introduction of the revolutionary CoolGuard.

This first of a kind flow-captor is two sensors in one. It not only monitors the flow rate but also the temperature of the flowing medium and provides a solid-state switch if flow is lost or temperature is exceeded. The CoolGuard is solid state with no moving parts and is the ideal replacement for old-fashioned mechanical flow switches. It won't foul, stick, wear out, or be damaged by excessive flow rates. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically with no effect on the switching point. It has Normally Open "fail safe" switching logic, unlike mechanical switches that often fail indicating flow is ok when no flow exists. CoolGuard is simple to install and is factory pre-set so it requires no calibration or adjustment.

Priced right for the OEM as well as the small quantity user, the CoolGuard is the long awaited solution to low cost , solid state flow and temperature monitoring.
